Zamzow named a semifinalist for The Bowerman

AUSTIN, Texas – University of Texas senior Ashtin Zamzow was named a semifinalist for The Bowerman, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Wednesday afternoon. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female NCAA track and field athletes in the nation.

Zamzow is just the second Longhorn on the women's side to be named a semifinalist for the prestigious honor, joining Courtney Okolo, who was twice a semifinalist and went on to win the award in 2016. This outdoor season, Zamzow became Texas' most-decorated heptathlete, winning the program's first NCAA and Big 12 titles in the event, along with being the first Longhorn to win the heptathlon at the Texas Relays.
