Women's Swimming and Diving places fifth at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – Four top-seven finishes and a school record propelled Texas to a fifth-place finish Saturday evening at the 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Longhorns scored their first top-five finish at the NCAA Championships since 2009 with 252 points. Stanford won the team title with 526.5 points, and California finished as the runner-up with 366 points. Texas A&M placed third with 292.5 points while Georgia placed fourth with 252.5 points, just one-half of a point ahead of the Longhorns.
