For the eighth time in program history and the second consecutive season, the No. 3 Texas Longhorns advanced to the Women’s College World Series with a 6-5 win over the No. 13 Clemson Tigers on Saturday at Red & Charline McCombs Field.
With the other super regionals concluding on Sunday, the field in Oklahoma City was set with No. 6 seed Texas landing a matchup with No. 3 seed Florida at 11 a.m. Central on Thursday at OGE Energy Field at Devon Park, the opening game of the WCWS.
Florida swept through the Gainesville Regional before needing three games to get past Georgia in the Gainesville Super Regional.
