AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas women's basketball team outscored Drexel 34-12 in the third quarter and cruised to an 82-42 win on Friday at Moody Center.
In front of a crowd of 7,487 fans the Longhorns improved to 31-4 on the season and have now won 13 of their last 14 games. Texas will await the winner of Alabama and Florida State in the next round of the NCAA Tournament.
Shaylee Gonzales led Texas with 21 points as she connected on 5-of-6 from the 3-point line. Taylor Jones poured in 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting.
