SAN MARCOS, Texas – The sixth-seeded Texas Women's Basketball team knocked off No. 11 seed Bradley, 81-62, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday night at Strahan Arena.
After sluggish start from the floor, the Longhorns broke out on a 13-0 run to take a 19-7 lead after the opening quarter. It marked the 14th time that Texas has held its opponent to under 10 points in a quarter. UT's first-quarter run was sparked by an Audrey Warren 3-pointer at the 3:51 mark, and was of three long-range makes during the run.
