Weather will Put Pressure on Texas Longhorns Run Game

When the Texas Longhorns take the field tomorrow against Kansas State, the remnants of hurricane Patricia may have a say in the game plan.

Heavy rainfall is expected for the late morning kickoff. And while the precipitation should not be as bad as once projected, it will force both teams to alter what may have been drawn up earlier in the week.

Hello run game.

Throwing the ball in monsoon conditions isn’t advisable. The ball will be slippery, meaning neither quarterback will feel confident throwing deep balls. Footing will be an issue. Receivers trying to make cuts and double moves are likely to find themselves on the turf.
