Vince Young is closing in on a comeback to pro football.
The 33-year-old Longhorn legend flew across the northern border Wednesday to work on a deal with the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders, according to Young's agent Leigh Steinberg.
Young hasn't played in an NFL regular season game since 2011, but signed Steinberg in February hoping to make a return to the pro ranks.
A former Heisman Trophy running-up, Young led Texas to a national title in 2005 and played six seasons in the NFL after getting drafted No. 3 overall by the Tennessee Titans in 2006.
