AUSTIN -- Freshman power forward Jarrett Allen has decided to hire an agent and will enter the NBA draft, the school announced Tuesday.
While not unexpected given Allen's profile as a top recruit and development during the season, it's still a blow after a 22-loss season in Shaka Smart's second year at Texas. Freshman guard Andrew Jones still has not announced after declaring for the draft but not hiring an agent.
The 6-11 Allen recorded 12 double-doubles last season. He led the Texas in rebounding (8.4 rpg), blocked shots (51) and minutes played (32.1 mpg) and was second in scoring (13.
