AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas placed a total of 217 student-athletes on Academic All-Big 12 teams during the 2019-20 academic year, leading all 10 league schools. Of the 217 Academic All-Big 12 selections, 157 were first team picks.
"We are so proud of our student-athletes and all they're accomplishing both in their sports and in the classroom," said UT Vice President and Athletics Director Chris Del Conte. "To have the most Academic All-Big 12 selections of any school in our conference this year is truly impressive. It says a lot about everything our student-athletes do in their commitment to academics, but also the focus our coaches, staff and entire department put on the total student-athlete.
