Justus Terry and Kaliq Lockett were big-time recruits for Texas football in the 2025 recruiting class, and they've already begun to show why in practice.
Due to their performances this summer and throughout fall camp, Terry and Lockett were recently named to the preseason watch list for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award. It's a yearly honor given to the most impactful freshman player in college football.
Both of these players have the ability and potential to see a serious amount of playing time in 2025, especially Lockett. He was already rotating with Ryan Wingo at "X" in Texas' most recent scrimmage, which could mean that he's going to be a legitimate depth option on the outside heading into the regular season.
