EUGENE, Ore. – Texas Ex Tara Davis-Woodhall advanced to the USA Team Trials long jump final on Saturday with the top-qualifying jump of the competition.
Davis-Woodhall only needed one jump to advance to the semifinals with her first-round jump of 6.93m (22-9). She'll compete in Saturday's final for a spot for her second Olympic games.
In Jamaica, 2023 and 2024 NCAA outdoor long jump champion Ackelia Smith won her national team competition with a jump of 6.53m (21-5.25). Her winning jump came in the third round after two early fouls in the competition.
