Tom Herman says 'task of rebuilding a little bit more difficult' with 11 Power 5 teams on schedule

It's no secret there is disparity in college football scheduling, something that is constantly debated among the media and fans year in and year out.

Not all schedules are similar in strength. Some schools play 11 Power 5 teams in a season, while others play as little as eight.

During Monday's Big 12 coaches teleconference call, Texas coach Tom Herman noted that this is the second consecutive season the Longhorns will play 11 Power 5 schools while also calling for change and more even scheduling in college football.

"This (was) a program coming off three straight losing seasons, and to schedule 11 Power 5 opponents makes the task of rebuilding a little bit more difficult considering there's schools in other conferences that play eight," Herman said.
