With the season opener against Maryland just over two weeks out and preseason camp in full gear, Texas head coach Tom Herman met with the media following Thursday's practice at Frank Denius Fields.
"This is when the pros show up and the guys that aren't pros get exposed," Herman said of the second week of camp. "This week right here is where the monotony of training camp can set in if you don't handle it properly."
The Longhorns will hold their second scrimmage of camp on Saturday.
