Two days after Texas coach Tom Herman was linked as the other assistant coach who visited a Miami-area strip club with ex-Ohio State receivers coach Zach Smith during a 2014 recruiting trip, Herman addressed the media following Thursday's practice for the first time.
"What was reported was 4.5 years ago when I was an assistant coach. My wife knew exactly where I was, had no issue with it," Herman said. "I'm happy to cooperate and be honest, truthful, transparent with the NCAA if they so need me to be.
"I understand the responsibility that comes with being the head coach at the University of Texas, and I take that responsibility very, very seriously.
