The most bizarre SEC stat of the season? It involves Texas and Georgia football

Related Topics: Southeastern Conference, Texas

The Texas Longhorns head to Athens, GA, this weekend to face the No.6-ranked Georgia Bulldogs in what should be an exciting matchup on Saturday night. Though Texas has only been in the SEC for a little over a year, these two blue-chip programs had a viral, surprising series stat pop up on Monday.

As mentioned before, Texas has only been in the SEC since 2024, and the Longhorns will have faced the Georgia Bulldogs a total of three times after this weekend's heavyweight bout. That's two times more than in-state rival Texas A&M has played UGA in their 14-year conference lifespan.
