The Texas Longhorns are set to take on the Maryland Terrapins at 11 p.m. Central on FS1 at FedEx Field, only the third road game to open a season for the Horns since 1996.
On tap is revenge for last season’s 51-41 loss in Austin that spoiled head coach Tom Herman’s debut — a rocky start to his coaching tenure on the Forty Acres, no doubt. And only the second second-opening win in the last four years.
Texas sophomore Sam Ehlinger will the start at quarterback, while coaches expect sophomore Derek Kerstetter and redshirt freshman Sam Cosmi to rotate at right tackle.
