The Longhorns' star running backs Quintrevion Wisner and C.J. Baxter have both been named to the 2025 Doak Walker Award preseason watch list for the upcoming season, which is given to the top running back in college football every year.
Wisner is the SEC's only returning 1,000-yard rusher heading into the 2025 season, and there's a great chance that he'll be able to match or even top his success from the 2024 season with Arch Manning at the helm. He also caught 44 passes last year as a dynamic receiver out of the backfield on all sorts of route combinations, but there's a possibility that he'll concede some of that passing down work to Baxter this year.
