Nearly five months after Odessa Permian athlete Peyton Powell received an offer from the Texas Longhorns, the talented athlete made his way to the Forty Acres for the first time by taking an official visit for last Saturday’s victory over the Baylor Bears.
The visit clearly made an impression.
“It was amazing,” Powell told the Austin American-Statesman. “I liked everything about it.”
In fact, Powell enjoyed the trip so much that he discussed the possibility of playing together in college with fellow official visitor Kennedy Lewis, a Melissa prospect who was committed to TCU as of last weekend, but opted to decommit on Tuesday.
