The Austin Regional gets underway for the eight-seed Texas softball in the postseason, following a solid run in the Big 12 Tournament last week. Texas will begin the Austin Regional at Red & Charlie McCombs Field on May 19.
Head coach Mike White and the Longhorns will begin the Austin Regional on May 19, with Game 1 set to take place against the Seton Hall Pirates. The Longhorns carry a record of 42-13-1 (11-7 Big 12) following a loss to the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners in the Big 12 Tournament final on May 13.
Texas had previously downed the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Kansas Jayhawks to reach the final of the Big 12 Softball Championship last week.
