AUSTIN -- The warning signs were clear and present for a young Texas team that has struggled with success and consistency under Charlie Strong.
A big win over Notre Dame was followed by hype and sky-high national rankings, a short week, a ton of injuries and an under-the-radar opponent in UTEP. Even before the kickoff, Central Michigan had upset Oklahoma State on that weird Hail Mary and lateral that never should have been and Georgia and Clemson had barely survived challenges.
