AUSTIN -- The Longhorns' defense is losing a lot of talent and key starters in 2019, but the unit received a major boost on Thursday afternoon.
Junior safety Brandon Jones announced on Twitter that he's coming back for his senior season at Texas. Jones, a former five-star safety out of Nacogdoches, earned himself honorable mention All-Big 12 honors in 2018.

Jones finished the year as Texas' fourth-leading tackler with 70, despite only logging 10 games. He also tallied 5.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one pass-breakup.
