Texas basketball will be heading to Hawaii next year.
The Longhorns were one of eight teams announced on Thursday as participants in the 2020 Maui Jim Maui Invitational. North Carolina, Indiana, Alabama, Stanford, Providence, Davidson and UNLV are also in the field.
The tournament is scheduled for Nov. 23-25, 2020, at the Lahaina Civic Center on the west coast of Maui.
"Each year, the Maui Jim Maui Invitational prides itself on bringing the best college basketball talent to the island of Maui," tournament chairman Dave Odom said in a press release Thursday. "2020 is no different, with the Lahaina Civic Center hosting some of the game's most historic programs of all time.
