Texas OG Junior Angilau suffered MCL sprain against Kansas State

During his weekly Monday press conference, Texas Longhorns head coach Tom Herman said that redshirt freshman offensive guard Junior Angilau will miss this weekend’s game against the Iowa State Cyclones in Ames due to an MCL sprain that he suffered against the Kansas State Wildcats.

After missing the Iowa State game, Angilau will be week-to-week as he recovers. Herman said that best-case scenario for his return is the Baylor game.

With Angilau out, junior right tackle Derek Kerstetter slid into the right guard position normally occupied by Angilau and junior Denzel Okafor step in at right tackle.
