Incoming transfer tight end Jack Endries has officially been named to the John Mackey Award watchlist, which gets handed out to college football's top tight end.
Endries comes to the University of Texas football program by way of California, where he was one of the top tight ends in the ACC. His athletic ability is incredibly evident in both his route running and overall movement skills at 6'4", 236 lbs., and his effectiveness at the catch point is uncanny.
It's no secret that Steve Sarkisian loves to utilize tight ends in his offense and knows how to find unique ways to get them involved in the passing game, as we've seen with both Ja'Tavion Sanders and Gunnar Helm over the past two seasons.
