It's halftime of the Texas vs. Texas A&M game, and on top of being down 10-3, the Longhorns just lost 3-star offensive tackle commit Max Wright to SMU.
Though it never feels good to lose a commit, regardless of their star status, Texas kind of saw this one coming. Wright has apparently been trending towards flipping to SMU for a few weeks now.
Wright definitely had some potential to develop into a solid, depth-level contributor for the Longhorns, but they'll be fine. This also comes shortly after Texas was able to flip Stanford OT commit Kaden Scherer a couple of days ago.
