The 2023 Texas high school football season concluded on Saturday, December 16 with the playing of the last three University Interscholastic League (UIL) state championship games, one of which involved a pair of Texas Longhorn commits. Since that time, Texas has signed 23 student-athletes in the 2024 recruiting class, added three more players to the program via the transfer portal, and received commitments from three prospects in the 2025 class.
In most past years going back to 2015 (Shane Buechele’s senior season at Arlington Lamar and Sam Ehlinger’s junior year at Austin Westlake), this writer has penned a weekly post following the game-by-game results for UT’s football commits.
