AUSTIN -- Texas coach Tom Herman announced Tuesday night after practice that junior linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch was in a single-car accident during the day and has neck soreness.
Herman said McCulloch hydroplaned with his car and hit a light pole. Austin has experienced bad weather the past two days with a cold front and steady rain, which has made roads a little more treacherous. McCulloch was treated at the scene and then went to the hospital before eventually being released.
"All early indications is that he should be OK," Herman said.
Herman said McCulloch will still receive a CT scan as a precaution.
