A second 2021 recruit is now on campus with the Texas Longhorns basketball program after reporting over Memorial Day weekend, as Dallas Jesuit shooting guard Gavin Perryman arrived in Austin after committing to the Longhorns last Thursday.
The staff may not make a final determination about Perryman’s scholarship status until a player like senior forward Jericho Sims makes a final determination about his professional future after entering his name in the 2021 NBA Draft without hiring an agent.
However, the Statesman reported on Tuesday that Perryman is “likely” to receive a scholarship this season under new head coach Chris Beard.
