According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle and later confirmed by other outlets, Texas Longhorns redshirt sophomore Jack Byron Vaughns entered the NCAA transfer portal hours after he didn’t play in Saturday’s win over the Baylor Bears.
The 6’4, 225-pounder is the second Longhorns player to enter the transfer portal since the season started — redshirt freshman cornerback Kenyatta Watson II recently transferred back to Georgia to play for the Yellow Jackets.
Vaughns appeared in the season opener against UTEP, but hasn’t received playing time at Jack or on special teams in recent weeks.
