A month and a half ago, five-star defensive lineman James Johnson committed to the Texas Longhorns. Since then, two of his home-state teams have continued to push for him to flip his commitment.
Johnson grew up in Miami, home to the Hurricanes and just a few hours from Gainesville, where the Florida Gators play ball. Recently, the Miami Hurricanes emerged as frontrunners for the flip.
Now, keep in mind that Johnson had already changed his decision once when he committed to Texas, flipping his commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs to the Horns. After the Longhorns landed him, rumors of yet another flip never quite died down.
