On Tuesday, the Texas Longhorns missed out on Stanford Cardinal graduate transfer offensive tackle Casey Tucker, who announced on Instagram that he will play his final season of college football for the Arizona State Sun Devils:
The 6’6, 300-pounder played his high school football at Chandler Hamilton High School and will now return home to the Phoenix area. In recent weeks, Tucker visited both Texas and Arizona State.
The loss of Tucker is a blow for the Longhorns — he was a starter over multiple seasons for the Cardinal before sitting out the 2017 season and would have competed at either tackle position had he picked Texas.
