Being mentioned in a federal criminal trial is seldom a good thing, as Texas discovered Thursday.
As part of the testimony by Brian Bowen Sr., the father of eventual Louisville recruit Brian Bowen II, several programs were implicated, including Texas. Bowen Sr. said agent middleman Christian Dawkins told him that former Texas assistant Mike Morrell indicated the school would "help with housing," presumably an offer to help the family relocate.
It wasn't exactly as damning as some of the other allegations of specific amounts of cash -- like $50,000 from Arizona, $100,000 from Creighton and $150,000 from Oklahoma State.
