Texas football has not faced the Texas A&M Aggies in the Lone Star Showdown since all the conference realignment came about between the SEC and Big 12. That talk of conference realignment caused the Aggies to bolt from the Big 12 and jump over to the SEC following the end of the 2011 campaign.
Both the Longhorns and Aggies added new head football coaches in the past two years. Texas brought in Tom Herman from the Houston Cougars. And, Texas A&M surprisingly snagged Jimbo Fisher from the Florida State Seminoles before its bowl game last season.
Imagining the outcome of Texas-Texas A&M at this point is nothing but pure speculation.
