The first opportunity for Texas football to make some progress in contending for a Big 12 Championship started this season with the No. 17 TCU Horned Frogs. On Sep. 22, the Longhorns have a chance to actually get back into the top 25 rankings for both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll, if it could knock off the Horned Frogs at home on the Forty Acres.
This game started pretty fast with each team’s first offensive drive stalling out and resulting in a field goal attempt. TCU knocked through its first field goal attempts after a huge play for senior linebacker Gary Johnson to have their drive stall out.
