Ahead of the second fall scrimmage, this weekend, redshirt freshman Texas football wide receiver Troy Omeire suffered a familiar injury issue. A report from Horns247 this weekend confirmed that Omeire suffered a “strain to his knee” ahead of the second scrimmage which took place on the afternoon of Aug. 21.
Omeire suffered a season-ending knee injury last year, which brought what would’ve been a promising true freshman campaign to an end before it could get started. It looked like there was plenty of capability for Omeire to make an early impact last fall too.
