In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Texas football program had a more impressive class coming off the Forty Acres than they did last year. The 2019 NFL Draft didn’t see a single former Texas player fall off the board until defensive end Charles Omenihu was selected by the Houston Texans in the fifth round. And the only other Texas Ex that was taken off the board in the 2019 NFL Draft was cornerback Kris Boyd, by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round.
Yet, in this year’s festivities that were held completely virtual last month, Texas saw three former players all get selected as high as Omenihu or earlier than him.
