When the conversation first started as to whether Big 12 expansion would have a positive impact on the Texas football program, there were other more pertinent problems to worry about than adding two or four teams to the mix. Texas was at the end of Mack Brown’s tenure and at the start of Charlie Strong when this conversation first started swirling.
Last weekend, the Texas Longhorns football program was one of three teams in the Big 12 that helped to restart that conversation to some degree about the idea of conference expansion.
