Former Cal Golden Bears head coach Sonny Dykes actually had an impact on how the 2019 offseason played out for Texas football. Not only did Dykes just reportedly pull former Texas football assistant coach and Oklahoma State Cowboys wide receiver signee Ra’Shaad Samples away on July 16, he hosted a satellite camp with this program in Dallas, TX.
Samples was a key cog in the recruiting machine for head Texas football coach Tom Herman. He had close ties with a lot of the recruiting targets that the Texas Longhorns football program held in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
