The time is finally here for Texas football to start the second season under the direction of head coach Tom Herman. This season comes with less patience for a coaching staff that needs to see some better results than this fan base has seen for the past four seasons. Dating back to the beginning of the Charlie Strong era on the Forty Acres, the Horns have not won more than seven games in an individual season.
The last time that the Horns won more than seven games was in the final year under Mack Brown, in 2013. However, a new season brings new opportunity for the Horns to climb back up the Big 12 standings.
