The action on the recruiting trail likely won’t slow down anytime soon for head coach Tom Herman and the Texas football program. During a dead period for in-person recruiting contact, which is now instituted through July 31, Texas has to get very creative and focused with their strategies on the trail. Recruiting news is heating up while Texas is getting mixed results on the trail of late.
There was good news within the last month and a half for the Texas Longhorns football program on the recruiting trail when they landed pledges from the likes of three-star running back Jonathon Brooks, four-star strong-side defensive end Jordon Thomas, three-star wide receiver Casey Cain, etc.
