Former Texas football quarterback and DFW Metroplex native quarterback Shane Buechele made a kind donation to the city of Dallas for COVID-19 relief.
There’s multiple efforts from the Texas football program, now from current and former players and coaches, to help out in the relief in the face of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Texas players, coaches, and alumni are helping out right now in multiple different ways. Rising senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger has volunteered a lot of his time to help out in the community, as has head coach Tom Herman. Former Texas linebacker Jordan Hicks even helped at a local animal shelter in the Austin community.
