A huge retroactive addition arrived for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and his 2021 Texas football recruiting class last month. Texas was able to flip the commitment of the ultra-highly touted former Michigan Wolverines four-star wide receiver pledge and Central East product Xavier Worthy. To try and bolster the wide receiver position in the 2021 class, Texas struck gold with Worthy.
It was perfect timing for Sark and the Longhorns to see Worthy come available. Two of his other top schools before flipping his commitment last month were Texas and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
