A target of the 2021 Texas football recruiting class that was originally committed but then rescinded is three-star Lake Travis tight end Lake McRee. Texas has the commitment of the 6-foot-4 Everman athlete/tight end Juan Davis already in the 2021 recruiting class, so that could’ve played a role in losing McRee earlier in this cycle.
There still seems like a good possibility of getting the pledge back from McRee to the Texas Longhorns football program and the 2021 recruiting class. Texas could use as much depth as they can get in the 2021 recruiting class at the tight end position.
