Last week was a mostly positive one for the current group of future Longhorn football athletes, as some began their district schedules with wins, four commits helped their teams to their first win of 2019, and 11 commits still have yet to lose a game.
As of this week, 11 commits play for teams that are ranked in their particular state, and one of them plays for a team ranked among the top 5 nationally by USA Today. That team is the state’s current #1 team in Class 6A, and Longhorn commits also play a key role for the four teams ranked 2nd through 5th in 5A Division I.
