In a game where the No. 3 ranked Oklahoma Sooners were almost upset by an unranked opponent for the second time in three weeks, former head coach Bob Stoops led a chant in Norman against the Texas football program. Stoops, now a member of Fox Sports, led a chant of “Boomer Sooner” and “Texas Sucks” in the “Big Noon Kickoff” ahead of the start of the Oklahoma-Nebraska game on Sep. 18.
This was a new way for the Sooners and a former head coach to try and jab at the Longhorns in a setting that just seemed weird.
