Getting out of DKR with a Sep. 8 victory was the main task at hand for Texas football to get started down the road of a grueling 2018 schedule with at least a .500 record. While Texas did do that, not there’s not much else to be proud about coming off of Week 2.
It can’t be overstated how important it was for the Longhorns to get back on track in multiple areas on both sides of the ball against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Yet, what could’ve been a week for the Horns to turn to give some younger players some early playing time turned into trying to keep a lead alive in the second half.
