Texas Football: 5 burning Horns National Signing Day questions

A time of the year that used to be extremely entertaining and impactful, National Signing Day, died down a bit the last two recruiting cycles thanks to the installment of the Early Signing Period. The first time the Early Signing Period came into effect was in December 2017, and it showed that most prospects wanted to commit and sign their National Letter of Intent before National Signing Day. That proved to be true for each of the past two Texas football recruiting classes.

The only commit in the 2019 Texas football recruiting class that didn’t sign his letter of intent during the Early Signing Period for this cycle was four-star Houston, TX, offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd.
