What seemed to be one of the most critical remaining targets for new Texas football head coach Steve Sarkisian in the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason is no longer available. Texas wound up missing out on the former Tulsa Golden Hurricane redshirt junior 6-foot-2 and 190-pound cornerback Akayleb Evans in the midst of the summer months.
After a busy offseason in the transfer portal so far for Sark and the Longhorns, it did appear that the talented and proven defensive back Evans was one of the last targets available for this team.
