Texas football toppled the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Nov. 29 on a Black Friday morning kickoff at 11 a.m. at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium by the final score of 49-24. It was one of the more lopsided wins of the season so far for Texas, and the best throughout Big 12 play.
In a regular season finale where head Texas football coach Tom Herman needed a strong response out of his team, they were able to dismantle first-year head coach Matt Wells and his Texas Tech squad. Texas Tech jumped out to a quick start before Texas completely took over from the second quarter and beyond.
