Given that the 2023 Texas football recruiting class just lost its first and only commitment, for the time being, in five-star El Campo running back Rueben Owens, there is a heavy emphasis placed on new head coach Steve Sarkisian at the moment in finding consistency on the trail. Sark found a hot streak on the recruiting trail for his 2022 and 2023 classes in the first couple of months following his hire as Texas head coach.
Yet, the results have really started to slow down for Sark and the Longhorns on the recruiting trail in the last month or two.
